Treatment program
Sport therapy
Sport therapy consists of dosed physical effort in groups separated according to performance level
and illness, a systematic build-up of strength in which heart rate and peak flow are constantly monitored.
There is a special sports program for patients with bronchial asthma and adiposity. Sports activities
are also offered to parents.
Motivating the patient to do physical exercises is considered to be an essential goal and a chance for
a genuine change of lifestyle.
The following are elements of the sports program: early morning exercise, ball and team sports
, circuit training, aqua training, swimming, swimming courses, ergometer training, hill-walking, Nordic
walking, cross country skiing. The training under medical control attempts to break down the patients’
fear of physical effort, and to improve their physical performance as well as their self-perception.
In this way, they will reach a positive relationship to body and movement.
